Went to LA last week and had so much fun! The last Went to LA last week and had so much fun! The last time I was in LA was back in 2006 when my family moved to the US so this was basically my first time visiting! From eating all the food to visiting bookshops, we kept busy! Here were my favorites from this trip: BOOKS ♥️ not pictured but @aladinbook is the largest Korean bookstore I’ve been to in the states and it gave me so much nostalgia for the bookshop in my hometown! ♥️ @lastbookstorela was worth all the hype! It’s huge and gorgeous. The upstairs is like a maze in the most fun way. ♥️ @therippedbodice might be the cutest bookshop I’ve been to! They focus on romance books and every corner is adorable. FOOD ♥️ @bcdtofuhouse opens at 6:30am and you can have spicy raw crabs for breakfast #bless ♥️ @hanu.kbbq.la was some of the best kbbq experience! ♥️ @oakobing — go here and get the melon bingsu ♥️ @sushigendtla — three words: medium fatty tuna THINGS TO DO ♥️ @gettymuseum specifically the Getty Villa—so much fun and FREE (parking is $20 though) ♥️ @santamonicapier was touristy but very cute! I don’t think I’ll be visiting LA anytime soon (I’m still recovering from the flight) but I can’t wait to go back and eat more 🥰
Alex and I went to M Sushi at @fentonnc to celebra Alex and I went to M Sushi at @fentonnc to celebrate our anniversary a couple of months ago! We did the omakase and LOVED it. If you have something to celebrate, are looking for a date night spot, or simply want good sushi—highly, highly recommend! Happy new year, friends! We’re already a week in Happy new year, friends! We’re already a week into 2023 but I finally had time this weekend to sit down and reflect on last year as well as intentions for this year. Going into 2022, I chose “rest” as my word of the year as I wanted to prioritize taking breaks and learn how to rest without feeling guilt once again. This year, I’m choosing the word “balance.” I hope to find and maintain balance between all the little things that bring me joy in 2023. Speaking of which, my sister and I had a date at @epiloguebooksch which is a bookshop/cafe in Chapel Hill! I hadn’t been since before the pandemic and it was as cute as I remembered! Have you been? If you have new goals or intentions for the year, I’d love to hear about them! ♥️
🍽️ 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼 🍽️ 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 🍽️ I certainly ate well this year and I’m sharing some of my very favorite bites from 2022 in this post, inspired by @niksnacks and @welcometoraleighwood! 🍹cocktail: hotel nacional from @eattheordinary 🍴new york strip from @vinrougedurham 🍝 pasta: raviolo carbonara from @foxandknife (rex loved their pepe e cacio) 🦪 oysters: west coast oyster from @strochraleigh (half off on Wednesdays!) 🍔 burger: alley burger from @alleytwentysix (the most perfect bite imo) 🍣 sushi: everything from @sushisuyu (+ honorable mention to @msushidurham omakase and China buffet for quantity sushi) 🧅 appetizer: all antipasti from @gocciolina_restaurant but particularly these spring onions (may sound weird but TRUST) 🍫 dessert: chocolate budino from @motherssonsnc (i don’t like sweet things but this was perfection) Do we share any favorites?! More last minute than ever before (aka the night b More last minute than ever before (aka the night before we hosted a Christmas party) but we kept up with our tradition of picking out a real tree and decorating it together! This year’s new ornaments included the ones we collected from travels and the state fair and also the ones our close ones gifted us to celebrate our engagement. Feeling extra joyful this season! 🎄♥️ #christmastradition #engaged2022
