My Favorite Books by Asian Authors

Hi, friend! In honor of AAPI month, I am sharing some of my favorite books by Asian authors. Every book on this list was a five-star read for me! Of course, this is not an exhaustive list—there are many books by Asian authors I have yet to read and want to read. If you have a favorite book by an Asian author you don’t see on this list, please share with me! I would love to add it to my TBR list. 🥰 DEAR AMERICA: NOTES OF AN UNDOCUMENTED CITIZEN by Jose Antonio Vargas While I vaguely knew Jose Antonio Vargas as an undocumented journalist who “came out” online, I…

What I Read in April 2021

I haven’t posted any in the month of April but I have been meaning to move my website to WordPress.org (from WordPress.com) and I didn’t want to write more blog posts until I was done with the migration. What I Read in March 2021

Hi, friends! March was a rough month for me mentally, and I didn’t read a whole lot. I watched some TV and scrolled on my phone, but otherwise, I don’t remember what I did. My reading list is a little bit all over the place but I read a couple of really good books.

Recently, we have been watching The Sopranos (on HBO) most evenings, but somehow I managed to read six books in a short month! I read some GREAT books in February and am excited to share my thoughts with you.

    Favorite Books by Black Authors

Hi, friends! It is always my goal to read diverse books, which means reading books authored by people with various lived experiences. For Black History Month, I wanted to share some of my favorite books by Black authors. If you are looking for new recommendations, I hope this blog hope is helpful for you. For the sake of readability, I am not including every book I’ve read by a Black author in this post (because there are a lot of great Black authors and a lot of great books written by Black authors) so check out my Bookshop for an even longer list (some I loved but didn’t include in…
