Beacon Hill Books & Cafe in Boston

I went to Boston for my 30th birthday earlier month, and at the top of the itinerary was Beacon Hill Books & Cafe, which recently opened in Beacon Hill neighborhood. It’s seriously one of the cutest bookshops I have ever been in! It’s a four-story townhome(?) that has been beautifully renovated and converted to a bookstore. Every corner of the bookstore feels special and well-thought out. The day we went was a beautiful November day with unbelievable weather, and the bookshop was absurdly crowded (the busiest they had ever been according to one of the employees) so I couldn’t get a ton of good photos of the space. One of…

    30th Birthday Trip to Boston

Last weekend, I went to Boston for a short weekend trip and came back as a thirty-year-old and with a new found love for Boston! Alex surprised me with this trip for my 30th birthday though he did tell me the destination a week or two prior so I could pack appropriately and add a few “must” places on our itinerary. We were in Boston from Saturday morning to Monday evening, and we got to do almost everything on our list! Having another day would have been even better but I’m happy with how much we got to do this time around. Boston is a perfect weekend trip destination if…

    Our Charleston Trip 2022

Hi, friends! After our trip to Charleston last year, I wrote about what we did and what we ate during our stay. Alex and I spent this past week-ish in Charleston and had the best time so naturally, I had to share more on the blog! Where We Stayed We split our stay between two places during our five-day stay in Charleston. For the first half of the trip, we stayed at the Francis Marion Hotel in historic downtown. To be frank, we loved staying downtown but not this hotel in particular. While we knew it was an older hotel, we were a bit disappointed when we arrived. The lobby…

    Cherry Blossom Weekend in DC

Hi, friends! I took a short break from Instagram for about the last week and a half so writing this blog post makes me feel like I’m almost resurfacing to social media, considering that I haven’t shared anything on any social media platform during this time. I have deleted Instagram a few times before, especially when my anxiety was pretty high last year, but I have never gone for this long without having Instagram since I first made an account probably back in 2012 or something. To be honest, I have been loving life without Instagram and am debating even to this moment if I should download the app again……

What We Did and Ate in Austin, TX

For my birthday this year, I took a trip to Austin with Alex, my mom, and one of my sisters. We were only in town for two and half days but managed to do eat and do a bunch of stuff (despite very last minute planning too). Obviously, I am not an Austin expert by any means but hope some people find this post helpful! Eat (Breakfast) Tacos Our very first meal in Texas was tacos, of course! After some brief research on Reddit, we decided to go to Veracruz for breakfast tacos. They have several locations throughout town (and are opening a location in Koreatown in LA!) and we…
