    Cherry Blossom Weekend in DC

Hi, friends! I took a short break from Instagram for about the last week and a half so writing this blog post makes me feel like I’m almost resurfacing to social media, considering that I haven’t shared anything on any social media platform during this time. I have deleted Instagram a few times before, especially when my anxiety was pretty high last year, but I have never gone for this long without having Instagram since I first made an account probably back in 2012 or something. To be honest, I have been loving life without Instagram and am debating even to this moment if I should download the app again……

The Starling House in Swannanoa, North Carolina

Over the weekend, Alex and I stayed at the cutest A-Frame cabin called The Starling House in Swannanoa, North Carolina. We have always wanted to stay at a tiny house so we booked this Airbnb when we came across it earlier this year. Because it’s absolutely adorable and close to Asheville, it’s pretty popular. In fact, Thanksgiving weekend was one of two weekends available when we made our reservation back in June. There were some things in the Airbnb listing we had overlooked and some things we just didn’t know until we got there, and I am sharing those things in this post in case it helps anyone planning to…

What We Did and Ate in Austin, TX

For my birthday this year, I took a trip to Austin with Alex, my mom, and one of my sisters. We were only in town for two and half days but managed to do eat and do a bunch of stuff (despite very last minute planning too). Obviously, I am not an Austin expert by any means but hope some people find this post helpful! Eat (Breakfast) Tacos Our very first meal in Texas was tacos, of course! After some brief research on Reddit, we decided to go to Veracruz for breakfast tacos. They have several locations throughout town (and are opening a location in Koreatown in LA!) and we…

    Weekend in Dupont Circle, DC

Last weekend, I was in DC for a wedding. While there was a wedding-related activity each day of the weekend, we had to fill the rest of the weekend and I thought I would share what we did, where we went, and of course, what we ate! This was my first time spending lots of time in Dupont Circle, and I loved how the whole neighborhood is very walkable with lots of things to do and eat. COFFEE & SWEETS Three Fifty Bakery & Coffee Bar – This was one of the coffee shops in walking distance from our Airbnb. We didn’t try the baked goods since we had brunch…

    Pit Stop in Asheville

Alex and I went down to Clemson this weekend for a football game (with our N-95 masks)! We stopped by Asheville on the way back for just about a day and tried quite a few new-to-us places so I thought I would share our experience. FYI, there is a county-wide mask mandate for all indoor spaces at this time. Rosetta’s Kitchen & The Buchi Bar I had Rosetta’s Kitchen bookmarked on Yelp for the longest time because we love The Buchi kombucha. So when my friend Nicole suggested Rosetta’s Kitchen for lunch, I said yes immediately! Rosetta’s has vegan soul food made with locally sourced ingredients. We started with Vegan…
