How to Wear the Nap Dress in Fall/Winter

Hi, friends! In today’s post, I am sharing how I wear the Nap Dress (or really any sleeveless dress) in the colder months. Living in North Carolina, I am a big fan of carrying your summer wardrobe into fleeting fall and mild winter that follows. Really the idea is to simply over or under the dress to make it weather appropriate, but I hope it gives you some new ideas.

With a Jean Jacket

Is there anything easier than a jean jacket + black dress? My jean jacket is from Old Navy, and I got it on sale for $15! I have worn this combination quite a few times recently, paired with my beloved strawberry Crocs!

With a Chunky Sweater

I got this sweater for $3 from Goodwill men’s section back in college, and it might be the best $3 I spent. Wearing my grey Allbirds with this outfit.

With a Long Open Sweater Cardigan

This outfit makes me feel like a cute librarian! Paired the Trellis with a forest green cardigan (old from Loft) and brown riding boots from Madewell. I got my Madewell boots on Black Friday for a major discount but they are currently 20% off!

With a Button-down

Wearing a button-down is a classic and dare I say professional way to dress up any dress?! I have another sleeveless red dress that I used to wear a lot to work with a white button-down. For even colder weather, I would wear black boots with this outfit.

With a Sweatshirt

Similar concept with the chunky sweater, I think wearing a dress with a (Nap) dress is a fun way to dress it down a bit. My pink Equality sweatshirt is from Salamat Dough (a local Filipina home baker in Raleigh), and you can still get it! Rocking my salmon pink Converses which I have had since 11th grade.

With a Button Down Sweater Cardigan

I have quite a few sweater cardigans I have collected over the years because it’s the easiest thing to layer over your summer clothes! Most of mine are from J. Crew Factory including this one. (The buttons are having a challenging time because this is probably two sizes too small for me right now haha)

With a Turtleneck Underneath

Like the sweater cardigans, turtlenecks (thin ones for me because I live in North Carolina) are another favorite way of mine to wear sleeveless dresses in the winter! I have a few from J.
