S’mores Dessert Board

Hi, friends! Another Sunday, another board post from me haha. I hope you’re excited to read this though since I haven’t done a post on a dessert board. I mentioned in my last Monthly Mumbles that we had a Smore’s night recently with our Solo Stove. You know I had to be extra and make a s’mores board haha. One night, I was searching the Internet and went down a rabbit hole of different s’mores combinations! I tried some new combos that were *chef’s kiss* and I am excited to tell you all about it.

BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS

For this board, I used this round serving tray from Target. It is 15″ and I typically use it for a group of 4~5. However, since s’mores boards are desserts rather than a meal (which is how I consider a cheese or charcuterie board), you probably want to size down on your board or serving tray. There were four of us actively eating and we had a lot of leftovers! I enjoyed having little pieces of s’mores over the following week so I am not complaining but keep that in mind if you do not want too much leftovers. You will more than likely have to carry this board this board to where you put it together to where you have the fire going so I definitely recommend using a board with a lip to prevent spillage or falling.

Me casually placing my s’mores board on the floor for photography purposes. Casual.

WHAT TO PUT ON THE BOARD

Hershey’s Bars – You always need your basics so Hershey’s chocolate bars are a must! We used both their Milk Chocolate and Cookies ‘n’ Crème Candy bars.

Reese’s Giant Peanut Butter Bar – This is how this all began—I saw someone making s’mores with Reese’s which led me to searching all different kinds of S’mores combinations! We went with the Reese’s bars which are a little bit easier to put together than the traditional Reese’s.

Oreos – Y’all. I LOVE Oreos. We went with the regular Oreos, but you can have so much fun with the flavors! S’mores with Peanut Butter Oreos or Java Chip Oreos sound heavenly.

Potato Chips – Last year, I got Alex 30 gifts for his 30th birthday. One of the gifts was this gourmet chocolate bar with potato chips, and I wanted to recreate that experience with s’mores! We used the Cape Cod Kettle Cooked Potato Chips. These are also a good addition to balance out the rest of the ingredients which are very indulgent.

Chocolate Chip Cookies – I had never thought to replace Graham crackers with cookies before!

Marshmallows – This is another ingredient you can have fun with! Try some flavored marshmallows or even stuffed(!!) marshmallows.

Thanks to Alex for being ever so patient and taking a million photos of me per my request

OTHER COMBOS I WANT TO TRY

Of course, this isn’t an exhaustive list of different ingredients to make s’mores with because the combinations and possibilities are truly endless! I will for sure be making more s’mores boards in the future and some of what I have in mind include:

The Elvis S’mores – peanut butter + banana + bacon + marshmallow

Fruity S’mores – adding banana, strawberry, or raspberry to a classic s’mores!

Jammy S’mores – fruity but make it jam!

Nut Butters – addition of peanut butter or Nutella sounds delightful! Maybe even cookie butter.

What is your favorite s’mores combo?
