Top 10 Shop Durham Spots

As a lover of all things local and Durham, I was ecstatic to find out about Shop Durham card in 2018. For those of you not familiar, you purchase a Shop Durham card for $15, and you can use the card (repeatedly) at participating small businesses to redeem various perks throughout the year.

Naturally, I got a card for myself as well as a couple of my Durhamite friends that Christmas. And again, this Christmas! Shop Durham has expanded to include more local businesses than ever before, and I’m excited to start using my 2020 Shop Durham card! In this blog post, I’m sharing my top 10 Shop Durham spots (in no particular order):

Monuts – free donut with a purchase of an espresso drink

Check their Facebook page for daily specials and donut flavors! This is probably my most frequently used perk.

Clouds Brewing – one free bar bite

What a steal! A great excuse to go out for beers when your bar bites are covered. 😉  P.S. Their stuffed jalapeños are so good!  

Cocoa Cinnamon (Lakewood location) – free churro with a purchase of any drink.

If you love churros, check out the Lakewood location of Cocoa Cinnamon! They have churro specials, like this s’mores churros that comes with ice cream.

As of January 2020, this perk has been changd to: Two Free Churros When you Buy a 12 oz bag of Little Waves Coffee (LKWD only) OR Drink Size bump up when you purchase a 12 oz bag of Little Waves Coffee at any location.

Sushioki – 10% off any roll or bowl

My family loves Sushioki! Their spicy tuna is my go-to. Check out their spicy tuna nachos too!

Deeluxe Chicken – free ice cream cone with purchase

Great chicken sandwiches you can get even on Sundays! They have a sauce bar with tons of options. On Mondays, they have a $10 special for a sandwich/single burger with a side and a draft beer!

Itaewon Grill – free drink with a medium or large bowl

Build your own KBBQ bowl! My favorite protein options are pulled pork and bulgogi, but they have KFC, galbi, and tofu as well! LOVE their udon noodles as the base.

ZenFish – 10% off

Who doesn’t love ZenFish? Great poke and great people! They also have kombucha and beer.

Town Hall Burger and Bar – 10% off

Town Hall is one of the best burger places in the Triangle, AND they have poutine!

Sugar Koi Ice Cream – 10% off

Instagram-worthy ice cream that is delicious too! They also have tons of regular ice cream flavors, affogato, coffee, etc.

Jeddah’s Tea – 10% off beverage of choice

If you’re a coffee or a tea lover, you must check out Jeddah’s! It’s in the heart of downtown Durham, and I love hanging out with friends over their unique teas from all over the world!
