STYLE,  WEEK IN OUTFITS

Week in Outfits 2021.12.05

LAST WEEK: Sometimes short work weeks feel like the longest but thankfully last week was not one of those weeks! It was the first time in a long time I didn’t have any evening meeting and I think that might be why. I spent half the weekend with my older sister Jiyoung which was nice since we hadn’t had one-on-one time together in a long time.

THIS WEEK: I am taking a couple of days in the middle of the week (had to use a little more PTO before the end of the year and to celebrate Jiyoung’s birthday). It’s going to be the weekend before I know it, which I am looking forward to!

MONDAY

Durham T-Shirt + Jacket

We drove back from Swannanoa after our weekend stay at The Starling House. Since we had no groceries at home, we took this as an opportunity to grab dinner from Cugino Forno Pizzeria. They opened their first Triangle location at Golden Gate campus in Durham and I am ecstatic to have them nearby!

TUESDAY

After a five-day weekend, I was a little bit scared coming into work. Thankfully my inbox wasn’t bad at all (since two out of my three out of office days were US holidays) and I had two morning meetings that were cancelled/postponed so I was able to ease back into the work week.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday was pretty much the same as Tuesday except with more meetings. I remembered to take a photo of my outfit which was also the same outfit I had on for Tuesday haha. I got this Christmas sweater for myself and my sisters back when I was in college, and it’s still one of my favorites!

THURSDAY

Similar Turtleneck + Dress

I had an outing for which I removed my Christmas sweater! Jiyoung and I went to downtown Raleigh for a preview of Illuminate Art Walk and I figured I would dress festively with my navy tartan dress which I have even wearing it on a weekly basis.

FRIDAY

Not an outfit photo but the only photo I took on Friday! Alex was out of town to help his parents move so I took myself on a solo dinner at Boxyard. I went back to Bulkogi and got their bul-fries! Not cheap but delicious and generous in serving size.

I started watching a new show called The Sex Lives of College Girls on HBO thanks to a recommendation from my friend Meghan. It’s SO GOOD. My sister Jiyoung came over late Friday night for a sleepover and we watched the new Britney Spears documentary (Britney vs Spears) aka I watched it while Jiyoung kept dozing off haha.

SATURDAY

J. Crew Factory Dress from last year found here and here

Jiyoung and I slept in a little bit and started the day with coffee (for me) and matcha (for Jiyoung) at Everlou. We got a little bit of reading done and lots of talking done while there. While we were in downtown Durham, I picked up a birthday gift for a friend at Letters Bookshop.

In the evening, Alex and I went to a Hurricanes game with some friends which was a lot of fun (very little mask wearing in the stadium FYI)!

SUNDAY

Old Gal Meets Glam Emilia Coat (found it here and here) + Skirt + Boots

Sunday morning was spent finishing the season 1 of The Sex Lives of College Girl and finally editing and uploading a YouTube video of our stay at The Starling House last weekend. We went to Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm in the afternoon and while we didn’t get our tree there (they were basically sold out), we had a ton of fun and took some cute photos!
