STYLE,  WEEK IN OUTFITS

Week in Outfits 2022.04.17

How is April already more than halfway over?! I’m not complaining about the longer days and warmer weather though! Last week, I had a productive week at work and watched a lot of TV in my free time (#worklifebalance).

MONDAY

Alex and I watched the first season of Severance in a matter of few days, and I’ve got to say it’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time, or perhaps ever. One of the main characters is the guy that plays Ben Wyatt in Parks & Rec so somehow I was fooled into thinking that it will be a fun, lighthearted show?! We ended up finishing the show Monday night because we couldn’t stop watching the second half of the season.

TUESDAY

The most memorable thing from Tuesday is finishing The Dropout, a dramatized TV series based on the story of Elizabeth Holmes’ who founded Theranos (without the technology or scientific understanding 🤡). Alex and I had started the show a couple of weeks ago (though we first watched some random TV segment the first night, thinking it’ll segue into the actual TV show lol) but I ended up finishing it alone. Though it has sort of an anticlimactic end, it was fascinating to see all the events unfold and realize just how many people–employees, patients, investors–were impacted by Theranos.

WEDNESDAY

We usually go to a trivia with friends on Thursdays but it didn’t happen last week due to some scheduling issues. Alex and I decided to go to a different brewery for trivia on Wednesday instead. We did not come in last and had tacos from a food truck for dinner!

SATURDAY

Alex and I’ve been doing these “surprise” dates for each other where one of us plans a date without the other one knowing any specifics (just know to block off the day/time). It was my turn this Saturday and I took him out to Hillsborough! It was our first time being out in Hillsborough since 2019 I think? I shared more on Instagram yesterday but we went to a few new-to-us places which was a lot of fun.

SUNDAY

Sunday Fun Day!! Earlier in the week, we started talking about maybe going to see Hamilton the musical in Greensboro. Saturday night, we got a couple of the orchestra tickets that were left (in different rows) and it was happening! We brunched in Greensboro before the show to make it sort of a day trip though we really are only an hour way, being in Durham. The show was incredible (it was my first time seeing it live!!!) and will be at DPAC next month if you’re local!
