    Week in Outfits 2022.03.20

How Last Week Went While nothing extraordinary happened, last week was a good one! Maybe because it was an ordinary one. Most of Q1 had been hard for me so having a solidly medium week was almost like a high?! The longer days are definitely helping with my mental health too. What I’m Looking Forward to This Week I’m having a short work week and heading up to DC for a quick getaway! You know four-day work weeks are my favorite and I am very much excited to eat all of the food. THURSDAY I got to attend a cake making class with La Recette Patisserie, and it was one…

Honest Review of Universal Standard “Mystery Box” 2022

Hi, friends! Universal Standard has been on my radar for the last few years, especially since I began having disposable income recently and deciding to be more mindful of what I buy and what businesses I buy from. Universal Standard is a clothing brand with inclusive sizing (sizes 00-40), which I love! I made my first purchase from them a few weeks ago when they had one of their Mystery Box sales. My YouTube Channel!

Hi, friends! I don’t think I ever officially introduced my YouTube Channel on the blog but what better time than now because I shared my first YouTube video of 2022 today! I took a break for a couple of months but filming and editing this video reminded me how much I enjoyed creating video content. YouTube has been the social media channel I have used the longest (well, other than Facebook) and it has been a constant love for me over the last decade. I started making YouTube videos last year because I love watching them. Taking a lunch break with a side of a fun vlog is one of…

    Week in Outfits 2022.03.06

Life felt good this past week! I ended up having social plans almost every weeknight, which is pretty unusual for me but a lot of fun. The weekend was the perfect amount of activities for me, and I feel rested and calm to face the new work week. MONDAY Starting off the week on a wild note, I went to a concert at Cat’s Cradle. To be honest, it snuck up on me and I didn’t stay until the end but it was a fun evening out and I appreciated Cat’s Cradle requiring and actually checking vaccination cards. What I Read in February 2022

MAID: HARD WORK, LOW PAY, AND A MOTHER’S WILL TO SURVIVE by Stephanie Land – 4 stars I had put this on my TBR list after seeing a couple of Bookstagram friends’ reviews. Stephanie Land writes about the time in her life when she unexpectedly found herself as a single mother in desperate and hopeless circumstances. Instead of going to college as she had planned, she becomes a housekeeper in order to survive. She eventually, almost miraculously, is able to pursue her dream of moving to finish school and becoming a writer. Heartbreaking and inspirational, Maid gives a glimpse into the life many people live but we don’t get to…
