Park’s Food St. – Durham’s Korean Food Hall

JULY 2022 UPDATE: Unfortunately, Park’s Food Street has permanently closed according to their website. Hi, friends! You know I have been a big fan of Itaewon Grill since it opened a few years ago. When Jay from Itaewon Grill mentioned that he was working on a food hall concept, I was so excited! Naturally, I went to check out Park’s Food Street as soon as it opened—literally on their first day of soft opening! Park’s Food Street has three different menus—Cupdak, Ramyun Time, and Taco Park. I will share the top highlights from the last few months. ๐Ÿ˜‰ April I went real camping for the first time! It was low-key since we went to Umstead State Park, which is not far from us at all but I am happy I got to cross it off…

Ice Cream Camp at Rockwood Dairy Bar

Hi, friends! I recently attended “Ice Cream Camp” at Rockwood Dairy Bar in Durham, NC. For Ice Cream Camp, you can book your spot ahead of time on their Square page. The cost is $20 per person, which I think is very reasonable for an hour-ish of fun and for the ice cream you get to take home. They also offer Ice Cream Camp for children, and you can also do private events if you have a large enough group. We…

What I Read in June 2021

Somehow, it is already July (really?! halfway through 2021?) so I am back with my monthly book post! In June, I read multiple solid books and read some books that had been on my TBR list for a LONG time, which always feels good. 28 SUMMERS by Elin Hilderbrand – 4 stars This was my first book by Elin Hilderbrand, and I totally get the hype. Crowned the queen of beach reads, Elin Hilderbrand is a prolific author who mostly writes stories set on or around Nantucket. 28 Summers follows Mallory and Jake’s love story (read: affair) over 28 years. After their first summer together on Nantucket (for Mallory’s brother…
